sdear was born from a singular vision in 2018: to bridge the gap between Eastern artisanal heritage and Western modernism. Our founders, wandering through the ancient kilns of Longquan and the leather ateliers of Florence, realized that the world's finest craftsmanship was at risk of being forgotten — fragmented across continents, hidden in workshops passed down through generations.

Today, sdear brings together master artisans from six distinct disciplines — furniture makers in Tuscany, celadon potters in Zhejiang, leather craftsmen in Marche, silk weavers in Hangzhou, shoemakers in the Marche region, and couturiers in Paris. Our AI design studio generates thousands of iterations per piece, optimizing for beauty, ergonomics, and structural integrity. The final design is then entrusted to human hands — artisans who have dedicated decades to perfecting their craft.

The result is something unprecedented: a chair that exists at the intersection of Zaha Hadid's fluidity and Ming dynasty joinery. A tea set that honors a thousand-year-old celadon tradition while fitting seamlessly into a modern Tokyo apartment. A shoe designed for Asian feet — shaped by 3D scanning thousands of feet — yet hand-stitched with Italian leathers that have been tumbled for 48 hours to achieve the perfect softness.
